Once you have a set of essential oils, the questions becomes what do I store them in? Things get even trickier when you've got young children that get into EVERYTHING. Read below for some tricks on how to child-proof your essential oils.

First things first.... these wooden boxes are the most popular choice! Why? They have handy little slots to keep your essential oils organized. Some people organize alphabetically and others by color. Either way, wooden boxes keep things contained in one place and its easier to keep kids from getting into your stuff.

Still, if you've got very curious toddlers those boxes need a little something extra since they do not have a lock on them. My children were drawn to essential oils so I had to come up with a more secure way of preventing them from accidentally opening up the bottles. Let's not talk about the day that my one year old dumped an entire bottle of frankincense on my bedroom floor! This is why I LOVE and recommend ALL parents get these child safety caps. The best part is that now I'm able to keep my essential oils in the rooms I use them the most...some in my kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living room! Woohoo! Once you get all your essential oils child proof you'll get to have fun coming up with other ideas for storage. The biggie for me is to put them high enough so my kids can't reach.
