broken image

There’s something undeniably comforting about the scent of vanilla. It reminds me of cozy kitchens, warm hugs, and moments where everything feels just a little softer. So, when doTERRA released their Madagascar Vanilla Essential Oil, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Now, it’s become my secret weapon for adding a touch of luxurious, feel-good aroma to my everyday life — all without stepping foot outside my home.

If you’re a fan of DIY projects that are simple, indulgent, and practical, you’re in the right place. I’m sharing a few of my favorite ways to use Madagascar Vanilla in my self-care routine, and trust me — your senses are in for a treat.

1. Homemade Vanilla Body Scrub

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as smooth, nourished skin, and this body scrub brings the spa straight to your shower.

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 5–6 drops Madagascar Vanilla Essential Oil

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Store in an airtight
container and use in the shower to gently exfoliate your skin. Bonus: your
bathroom will smell heavenly!

2. Cozy Linen Spray

Who doesn’t love crawling into freshly-spritzed sheets that smell amazing? This DIY makes bedtime feel extra special.

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel or vodka (helps the scent last longer)
  • 10 drops Madagascar Vanilla Essential Oil
  • Optional: 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil for a calming touch

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a glass spray bottle, shake well, and lightly mist
your pillows, blankets, or even curtains for a soft, inviting aroma.

3. Vanilla Infused Roller Blend

A subtle, sweet scent you can take anywhere? Yes, please!

You’ll need:

  • 10 mL roller bottle
  • Fractionated coconut oil
  • 5–8 drops Madagascar Vanilla Essential Oil
  • Optional: 3 drops Wild Orange or Frankincense for added warmth

Directions:
Add the essential oils to your roller bottle, fill the rest with fractionated
coconut oil, and give it a gentle swirl. Apply to your wrists or neck for an
easy, on-the-go fragrance boost whenever you need a moment of comfort.

Why I Love Using Madagascar Vanilla

What I love about doTERRA’s Madagascar Vanilla is its rich yet delicatescent — it’s sweet without being overpowering and blends beautifully with other oils. Plus, these DIYs are easy enough to whip up in just a few minutes and make perfect gifts for friends who could use a little self-care too!

Have you tried creating your own vanilla-inspired blends? I’d love to hear your
favorite ways to use this dreamy oil!
